Our Story

A little history

Located in the heart of downtown Lampasas, Texas in the historic Pecan Street building. Lampasas Beer Market has 20 beers on tap and Artisan pizzas made to order. Family owned and operated with deep ties to the community.

The owners, Dalton and Ana Harbin

Dalton and Ana have deep roots in the Lampasas community. Both were raised and graduated from Lampasas. And now they are choosing to raise their two kids here too, and pour into their community as much as possible.

Dalton started his food career at Storm’s back at 16. He would go on to work in banking for a while in West Virginia where he found his way back to food and bartending. He finally came back to Texas and tended bar in cities like Abilene, Dallas, and Austin. Over the next decade he worked at several different bars in Austin before finding a spot with the Hopdoddy restaurant. He probably would’ve stayed there forever if it hadn’t been for life taking him on another detour.

Ana may not have all the food experience that her counterpart does, but she has done her fair share of learning too. She worked at Lampasas Builders Mart for over 5 years and Tumbleweeds Gymnastics for a couple years too. Now Ana teaches 3rd grade at Hanna Springs.

Dalton and Ana haven’t had a conventional love story either. After having their daughter together at 16 they got married at 18 but divorced a couple years later. Only to have their son as soon as the divorce was finalized. After another round of making things work they separated for another 7 years. But God wasn’t done with them yet. They came back together in 2018 and in 2021 they finally tied the knot (again). They recently purchased Dalton’s childhood home out on the Flying S Ranch and plan to grow old living and loving in good ole’ Lampasas.

So there ya go. There’s their story. They are ecstatic to have the opportunity as owners of the Lampasas Beer Market and be an even bigger part of their community. Come by and say hi.
